Isabel

Isabel was born March 18, 2008. I can't articulate how much this baby has been a blessing to our family. She has created stronger bonds and brought heavenly joy into our home. I know babies are special...but she REALLY is!! :-] And she knows it too! She knows where she came from--I'll explain. The day of her blessing (last summer) she was unusually fussy. We were rushing around trying to get everyone ready, especially her and she just kept fussing. I laid her on the bed to get her blessing dress. As soon as I pulled the dress out of the opaque bag and she laid eyes on it, she stopped fussing and started smiling and cooing. She kept her attention on the dress for quite some time--a long time for just a 3 month old baby. I felt in that moment that Isabel knew who she was and remembered where she came from. At that one moment the spirit was so strong in that little room...I KNEW it too. I've always known but that moment I will remember for always.
So...even though this is the Rad Reddens' blog, much of it will naturally be devoted to our special little gift from Heaven.

Movies

My family LOVES going to the movies. We have seen some great ones, good ones, and and some just plain boring movies as well but there is still nothing like going to the movies with your family and friends. Let me add that the music in movies adds a great deal to our interest and enjoyment. In the last month we have seen Twilight (let's just say once was NOT enough for Kyleigh OR me--we have effortlessly memorized the soundtrack), Four Christmases, Yes Man, Marley and Me and will see Bedtime Stories before the week is up. That sounds like a lot of movies when I read back. Still...we enjoy it. We love quoting movies--Robert and Kyleigh are the best at it, with me running a close 2nd. Often however Robert and Kyleigh are quoting movies amongst themselves and cracking themselves up, while Brittany and I end up laughing because the other two are funnier than the actual lines...then at the end of our laughter we always say..."what movie is that from again?" Then Robert and Kyleigh end up laughing at us because we're so lame we can't remember which movie that great line was from!
hahahahahaha it's a vicious cycle of entertainment and embarrassment. Having said that, witnessing Robert and Kyleigh quoting "Hoodwinked" is an experience every person should have at least once in their life!
Welcome to the Redden Family Blog!
At the moment our family consists of Robert, Shannon, Kyleigh, Brittany, Alfredo and little princess Isabel, our newest addition (9 months ago)!
It's a wonderful life. Our family is very blessed.
We are new to blogging so bear with us as we get a feel for it.
Hope you all enjoy!!!
